So easy to make and a staple in our cupboards. We love this one! Sprinkle it on any pasta dish to give it those extra cheesy flavour.
- 1 cup cashews raw
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast (available from www.theonlineveganmarket.com)
- 1/2 – 1 teaspoon garlic powder (depending on how you like it)
- 1/2 – 1 teaspoon onion powder (adjust to suit)
- 1/2 teaspoon Himalayan rock salt
Add all of the ingredients to a food processor.
Pulse until a fine crumb mixture forms
Feel free to try this with other nuts and spices. Next I’m going to try it with paprika to see how that tastes. Also, walnuts can be substituted. I’ll also be trying a zaatar spice blend too as that sounds interesting to me and I just love trying new things out.
